"after an evening of wining and dining, i slept a local b&b recommended by the business owners of the cooking school. it was truly the most charming place i'd ever seen. the name of the b&n is valdi rose and it's run by this young italian lady and her family. she started it just 2 years ago, basically converting their home (if i understood her correctly) into a guest house. it has a rustic flavor to it, from the room accents to the scent, but very classy as well. i could tell every detail was chosen with care and good taste! :) my words aren't doing it justice but perhaps these photos might!the owners were truly so warm and friendly. they picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. they even gave me juice and peanuts when i returned after a long day of sightseeing in florence! they were really excited to have an american staying at the place. most guests are from france, spain, or other parts of italy because they would drive over there. signa was a bit out of the way for someone who was traveling purely by train.
i can't say enough how much i loved it. it really kinda made me want to run a b&b of my own. maybe that will be my next career move? :) "
